We are so lucky here at Hornby Primary School that are school pool is heated. It has been as warm as 27 degrees. That means even on cooler days we can swim. We even had a swimming session in a warm light rain! The sessions are half an hour and we have a lesson where the focus is swimming skills, then water safety skills. At the end we have 5-10 minutes free time to enjoy the water with our friends, and practice what we want.

ReplyDeleteYou are SOOOOOO lucky to have a heated pool.I remember when I was at school our pools were cold,deep and long.We had 2 pools.One small and shallow one for the little children and 1 deep one for the older children.I wasn't too keen on the deep pool as I couldn't touch the bottom with my feet.
It's great that you get the chance to have lessons as well as free time.
